In this Speed Education Subject Matter Expert session, attendees will be invited to join in-depth discussions about how redevelopment can impact public health. The conversation will focus on how environmental health scientists, urban planners, and public health professionals can engage communities in this time of economic downturn. They will explore interactions between redevelopment and public health; while attendees learn and brainstorm about how to improve this relationship with limited budgets. Subject Matter Experts from environmental health, planning, and public health will lead the conversation. This session is geared to audience members from a variety of disciplines who are interested in incorporating public health into community revitalization plans. ATSDR will collate and provide the session results to NEHA and communities to broadly support efforts to integrate redevelopment and public health.
