CIFOR Foodborne Outbreak Response Industry Guidelines

UPDATED 12/12/12
This session will feature updates on new products from two work groups of the Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response (CIFOR). The CIFOR Foodborne Outbreak Response Industry Guidelines were created by the CIFOR Industry group to provide owners and operators of food establishments and regulatory officials with guidance and to enhance regulatory foodborne outbreak response protocols and practices. The CIFOR Law group developed a suite of three products—an analysis of state laws, a practitioners’ handbook on legal authorities, and a menu of legal drafting options—designed to help states and localities identify and understand legal authorities for conducting foodborne disease detection and outbreak response activities. The presenters are participants in developing and drafting the resources to be presented.
